Important Dates for the 2024-2025 School Year
July 4, 2024 – Independence Day Holiday: Schools and offices are closed in observance of Independence Day.
August 14-16, 2024 – Optional Teacher Workdays: Teachers have the option to begin preparing their classrooms and materials for the new school year.
August 19-23, 2024 – Required Workdays: Teachers engage in mandatory workdays, participating in training and setting up their classrooms for the first day of school.
August 26, 2024 – First Grading Period Begins: The first day of school for students and the start of the first grading period.
September 2, 2024 – Labor Day: Schools are closed for the Labor Day holiday, giving students and staff a short break early in the semester.
September 27, 2024 – Required Workday: A teacher workday with no school for students, allowing teachers time for grading and planning.
