Moore County School Calendar 2024-2025
August 2024
- August 26 – First Day of School: The school year begins as students and teachers return to the classroom. This is the start of the first academic quarter.
September 2024
- September 2 – Labor Day: Schools are closed for this national holiday, allowing students and staff a long weekend.
October 2024
- October 8 – End of 1st Grading Period: The first quarter concludes, marking a significant milestone for students to track their progress.
November 2024
- November 5 – Required Workday: A designated day for teacher training and planning. No school for students.
- November 11 – Veterans Day: Schools are closed to honor military veterans and their service to the country.
- November 27 – Optional Work Day: Teachers can opt to work on this day, but students have a day off.
- November 28-29 – Thanksgiving Holiday: Schools are closed for Thanksgiving, giving students and staff a break to spend time with family.
December 2024 – January 2025
