Teachers Prepare for the New Year
Teachers report to school on August 5-6 to prepare classrooms, materials, and lesson plans. This preparation ensures that they’re ready to support students from day one, creating an engaging and organized environment for learning.
Students’ First Day – August 7, 2024
Welcome Back, Students!
August 7 marks the first day of school for students across East Allen County Schools. Teachers, staff, and administrators are excited to welcome students back to the classroom for a new year of learning and growth.
Labor Day – September 2, 2024
School Closed for Labor Day Holiday
All schools and offices will be closed on September 2 in observance of Labor Day. This holiday provides a well-deserved break for students and staff to recharge after the first month of school.
In-Service Day (No eLearning) – September 16, 2024
Teacher Training and Development Day
September 16 is an in-service day for teachers, meaning students do not attend school, and there is no eLearning. Teachers will focus on professional development to improve instructional strategies and classroom management skills.
Fall Break – October 11-14, 2024
Time Off for Students and Staff

Extended Holiday Break for the New Year
The Winter Break begins on December 23 and continues through January 6. Students and staff return refreshed and ready to tackle the second half of the school year on January 7.

Teachers Prepare for Second Semester
