Dates for the School Year

• August 26, 2024 – First Day for Students
  The school year officially begins! We’re excited to welcome students back and kick off a new academic year.

• September 2, 2024 – Labor Day Holiday
  A well-deserved holiday for students and staff, giving everyone a quick break early in the year.

• October 18, 2024 – End of Grading Period
  The first grading period wraps up. Teachers will assess student progress so far.

• October 21-22, 2024 – Student Holiday/Teacher Workdays
  These two days are dedicated to teacher planning and development, giving students a short break.

• November 5, 2024 – Student Holiday/Teacher Workday
  Another day off for students, while teachers focus on planning and preparation.

• November 11, 2024 – Veterans Day Holiday
  Schools are closed as we honor the service of veterans in our community and beyond.

• November 27, 2024 – Student Holiday/Telework Workday
  Students have a holiday, while some staff may work remotely.

• November 28-29, 2024 – Thanksgiving Holidays
  A break for Thanksgiving, allowing students and staff time to celebrate with family and friends.

• December 20, 2024 – Early Release/End of Grading Period
  The second grading period ends with an early dismissal for students, marking the start of winter break.

• December 23, 2024 – January 1, 2025 – Winter Holidays
  Schools are closed for winter break, providing time to recharge before the new semester.

• January 2-3, 2025 – Student Holidays/Teacher Workdays
  While students enjoy a few more days off, teachers prepare for the second half of the year.

• January 20, 2025 – Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
  Schools are closed to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

• February 17, 2025 – Student Holiday/Telework Workday
  Another holiday for students, with some staff possibly working remotely.

• February 18, 2025 – Student Holiday/Teacher Workday
  A day off for students as teachers participate in professional development activities.

• March 12, 2025 – End of Grading Period
  The third grading period ends, marking another milestone in the school year.

• March 14, 2025 – Student Holiday/Teacher Workday
  Students have the day off, allowing teachers to focus on planning and preparation.

• April 14-18, 2025 – Spring Break Holidays
  A full week off for spring break, giving students and staff time to relax and refresh.

• May 23, 2025 – Last Day for Students/Early Release
  The final day of school arrives with early dismissal, celebrating the end of another school year.

• May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day Holiday
  A holiday for staff in observance of Memorial Day, honoring those who served.

• May 27-30, 2025 – Teacher Workdays (Retest/Closeout)
  These post-student days are reserved for finalizing grades, completing assessments, and preparing for the summer.
